WELCOME
Welcome, we are very honoured with your visit to our website. Are you planning to visit Ghent, as a city trip, a business trip, or as a technical or administrative support towards your customers or furnishers? Will you be staying the night, a weekend, a week or even much longer? Our name ‘Absolute Home’ is equivalent to our most fervent wish, we want you to feel in our “bed and breakfast” absolutely and unconditionally “at home”. Hospitality is our master card! Our city of Ghent offers you a whole spectrum of activities and we assure that your stay in our “Bed & Breakfast” will offer you the unforgettable experience which you are momentarily seeking.
Behind the walls of the Beukelaar street is hidden an impressionable example of industrial archaeology. Our house was formerly the residence of a brickyard director. High chimneys and furnaces are still present as silent witnesses of past activities and add to the character of our spacious and cosy courtyard. A horse carriage gateway gives entry from the street to our premises. The house built in 1833 has been renovated with charm and dignity resulting in a contemporary comfortable roomy residence which bathes in an oasis of greenery and relaxation.
We offer you, for the time being, one very comfortable room (renovated in 2005). In the near future the number will grow to three, all with private entry.
Each room is equipped with a bathroom (depending on the comfort wishes: with bath or shower), double bed, sofa bed, sitting corner with TV, internet connection (and WIFI), coffee and tea, hairdryer, bed and bath linen. In short total comfort. Enjoy our delicious wide-ranged breakfast served in your bed, on the terrace or at our country table in a spacious living room.
Extra’s:
Your car, bike or motorbike may be parked at night or while unloading in our inner courtyard. All facilities for children and babies, toys, beds, chairs are available (please inform us of these needs when booking ), children below 6 no charge, up to 12 half price. Your dog is also welcome.
Washing machines, bikes, etc. are available at low rates.
Smoking is only allowed in the garden.
Special conditions for long-term accommodations or without breakfast upon prior demand.
Lunches, dinners or picnics if desired.
Public indoor swimming pool within 400 m.
No credit cards accepted.
The rooms:
Room 1 Basement
You lodge in the downstairs floor of the medieval director’s residence. Thirty-six square meters of contemporary comfort surround you and of course an agreeable temperature is assured winter and summer. Cosiness and style are our master ingredients. A lot of attention has been focused in the renovations on quality and workmanship. There is a comfortable rattan sofa bed and double bed, the room is decorated very tastefully. Have a coffee on the welcome counter and enjoy……………. In the bathroom you will find a large triangular bath, and a thermostatic tap with comfort nozzle will also offer you a most agreeable shower, a toilet, a wash basin. And then to top it all. Once awakened by the morning light of Ghent you can choose for a romantic breakfast
