Heidi, Gino and their kids Jeanne, France en Odiel welcome you for short or long stays in their unique holiday home in the Kwaadstraat, number 16 in Zingem.
At the foot of the Flemish Ardennes and the Zwalm region (in the south-east Flanders) one can really discover what the word "Flandrien" means. This is where the heartbeat of every lover of nature, walking/hiking and cycling cannot but increase. Nowhere else does the word "Cycling classic" have more significance than in the Flemish Ardennes. We’d very much like to indulge you in our totally renovated manor with every modern convenience.
Four very smartly decorated rooms with every comfort (TV, shower, wash basin, toilet, etc.) for 2 up to 6 persons. Cosy and large open family kitchen and living. Beautiful garden with terrace and pétanque court. Bike shed and covered terrace. Baby’s cots and child’s beds available upon request.
Zingem, a green lung along the Scheldt, is located in between the historic cities Ghent (25 km) and Oudenarde (10 km) in the Province of East Flanders. Zingem and its surroundings are a paradise for cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers/hikers. For the ones who get a great deal out of silent enjoyment, the Scheldemeersen with its unspoilt wonderful nature has so much to offer; kilometres of walking/hiking and cycling paths running through a protected nature reserve await you. The well-trained sportsman will discover plenty of hills in the Flemish Ardennes are to his taste. The ‘Ronde van Vlaanderen’(Flanders Tour), the ‘Omloop Het Volk’(Cycle Race Het Volk), the ‘E3-throphy’…, you name it.
This is the ground where all great champions have shown great performances. In Ghent, Oudenarde, Ename, Velzeke, Ronse... museums, churches and woods tell stories that happened many years ago. The upper Scheldt (Bovenschelde) with all its castles and domains resemble the Loire on a smaller scale. Oudenarde, the second most important Art city of the East Flanders, is worldwide famous for its historic tapestry. In this historic city one can also experience the rich Flemish cycling culture in the Ronde van Vlaanderen (Flanders Tour) Centre. Or else, just come and enjoy the spring classics ‘life’. Taste the atmosphere together with thousands of cycling fans. Folkloristic happenings are a rich tradition in the Flemish Ardennes. The Bommelfeesten and the Fiertelommegang in Ronse, the Geutelingenfeesten in Elst, the Gulden-Eifeesten in Kruishoutem, the Adriaen Brouwer Bierfeesten in Oudenarde, the Ouwegemse Fluitjesfeesten, the Month of May in Kerselaere and the Mullemse Valiezenkoers are just some of the classic festivities that usually go with the most delicious delicacies. The geuteling, the mattentaart, the ‘Ouwegemse fluitjes’ and the ‘Goaverse Valeirkes’ are just some of these folkloristic pastries. Thirsty? In the Flemish Ardennes the range of beers is endless. Oudenaardse bruinen, Ename dubbel, tripel or blond, Gavers Valeirbier, Zwalmse tripel, etc. Besides the breweries there are also two jenever distilleries and there are many brands of bottled spring water. Cheers! All of these specialties and a lot of typical farm products can be tasted in the cosy eating cafés and restaurants of which there are so many fine ones in our region.
Heidi, Gino en hun kinderen Jeanne, France en Odiel verwelkomen u voor korte of lange verblijven in hun unieke vakantiewoning/gastenverblijf gelegen in de Kwaadstraat 16 te Zingem.
Aan de voet van de Vlaamse Ardennen en de Zwalmstreek (Zuid Oost-Vlaanderen) komt u ontdekken wat het woord "Flandrien" betekent. Het hart van elke natuur-, wandel- en wielerliefhebber gaat hier sneller slaan. Nergens heeft het woord "Wielerklassieker" meer betekenis dan in de Vlaamse Ardennen.
Graag verwennen wij u in onze volledig vernieuwde herenwoning met alle comfort. Vier heel stijlvol ingerichte kamers met alle comfort (TV, douche, wastafel, toilet, enz.) voor 2 tot 6 personen. Gezellig ingerichte grote open leefkeuken en living. Mooie tuin met terras en pétanquebaan. Fietsenstalling en overdekt terras. Extra baby- en kinderbedjes zijn mogelijk.

De Ronde van Vlaanderen, de Omloop Het Volk, E3-prijs, noem maar op. Hier vindt u het terrein van alle grote kampioenen. Gent, Oudenaarde, Ename, Velzeke, Ronse... hier vertellen musea, kerken en bossen een verhaal van vele jaren geleden. De Bovenschelde met al zijn kastelen en domeinen lijkt wel de Loire in het klein. Oudenaarde, de tweede kunststad van Oost-Vlaanderen, geniet wereldfaam met zijn historische wandtapijten. In deze historische stad beleeft u ook de rijke Vlaamse wielercultuur in het Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen. Of kom gewoon ‘life’ de voorjaarsklassiekers beleven. Proef de sfeer samen met duizenden wielerfans. Folkloristische evenementen zijn in de Vlaamse Ardennen een rijke traditie. Naast de brouwerijen vindt u ook nog twee jeneverstokerijen en tal van bronwaters die op fles worden getrokken. Gezondheid! Al deze specialiteiten en tal van typische hoeveproducten kan je ook proeven in de gezellige eetcafés en restaurantjes die onze streek rijk is.
